By profession I am chief operating officer of Garment Company named as apparel eleven. It was setup in 2007. Its is a export oriented company. It is a export oriented company which export garments to United kingdom and America. The company is integrated with different departments. Main departments are cutting, stitching, manufacturing, finishing, packing, merchandising, marketing and finance. All professional staff is hired to run these departments. When the order is booked by marketing department they give details to merchandising departments. They make different samples for approval. When samples are approved from buyer and delivery dates are finalized, garments are sent for production.
The production cycle starts from cutting, manufacturing, finishing and packing. Merchandiser is responsible to make sure that garments are manufactured on time. Quality departments check garments at different stages so that it should be stitched according to the required samples. It is rectified if not stitched properly.
I am looking after all departments. All heads of departments give reports on daily basis. Reports help me to know different stages of all articles.
I choose this profession because I was fond of marketing and manufacturing. The fundamental rule of this business is to work hard. Time management plays and important role.
